HYDRAULIC HEADS

Hydraulic heads comprise a cylinder forming a pump chamber and comprising at least one fuel supply orifice formed in its cylindrical wall. The chamber formed with the pressurized fuel allows the injection of fuel evenly across and speeds up the fuel pump reaction.

PLUNGERS

The plunger operates by moving upwards and downwards, and its function relates to helping build up the pressure of the diesel fuel before it gets atomized into the combustion chamber. Furthermore, a constant circulation of fresh fuel flow is required to renew the fuel supply within the supply chamber, to help prevent overheating, and to prevent the accumulation of air within the system – for the reasons above, we see that the plunger function is highly important.

GEAR PUMPS

Gear Pumps are used on the injection system for Diesel Engines to produce a smooth flow of fuel. They are preferred in any application where accurate dosing or high pressure output is required. Since output is directly proportional to rotational speed, gear pumps are commonly used for metering and blending operations as Fuel injection.
